Sabala Heritage Home

The vegetarian meals were wonderful, and the owner was organized and hospitable. Sabala’s garden is lovely. There’s also a textile shop and sewing team on site. I bought a few things, and they altered one of them that same afternoon. It’s on the edge of town, so nights were peaceful and quiet, while Bijapur’s architecture was still easy to visit.

We had our own car and found plenty of parking. Zomato, Swiggy and similar services deliver there too. The place is pet friendly, though pets cost extra, so check that in advance. Sabala Heritage Home was beautiful, calm, and clean, with delicious food at a fair price. On our return from Gujrat toward Bangalore, its spot by the highway worked well for an overnight stop in Vijay Nagar. It’s conveniently placed for people traveling from Gujrat, Pune, or Solapur toward Bangalore and Karnataka.

This woman-led initiative was good to experience, and it seems like a strong sustainable model for an organization. We stayed there while visiting to conduct a women’s empowerment program. I would have learned more if they had displayed or explained their current projects and how the revenue from the model is used. There’s also plenty of room to improve the service, and I hope to see that in the future. Wishing them the best 💐

Once inside the property, the highway gives way to greenery and a peaceful, welcoming feel. We stayed at Sabala Heritage Home – A Farm Stay on 25th December 2025, during a road trip to Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The host and staff were caring, polite, and attentive, and made it feel homey. Our room was clean and looked after, with basic amenities for a comfortable stay. The food was simple, fresh, and delicious, like a home-cooked meal. Our 2-year-old daughter enjoyed it too. Thanks to the host and team at Sabala Heritage Home for their warm hospitality. 🌸
