The staff are rude, and the prices are very high. Food choices are limited, and the location is terrible. It's 2026, but they still seem to live in colonial India, showing courtesy only to guests from outside the country. The property itself is beautiful.

We thought the village was well worth experiencing, and the food was the best we had on our whole trip. After we told our guide we liked okra, they even got some in for us. Everyone was kind and made sure we had a wonderful stay. They also arranged lots of Diwali activities for us, which made it feel special. They went above and beyond.

I wish we'd stayed longer. The fort is a wonder to explore, and the hosts and staff were so welcoming and helpful. Sunrise yoga is well worth doing. The rooms are palatial, and the spot by a window alcove overlooking the countryside was a lovely place to read. Positively magical from beginning to end. Thank you!

The calm here was such a welcome break after the cities. Fort Barli was a particular highlight of our Rajasthan trip, with thoughtful, quiet professionalism and a hotel that is wonderfully well run. Our hosts welcomed us warmly, the service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.

The set meal was excellent, and it was a wonderful meal at a very sensible price, with flavors my taste buds could handle. We stayed in the queen's quarters, with a courtyard, bedroom ensuite, and living room. The building is beautifully preserved and 350 years old. If you want to experience how a king may have lived in a fort, this is your chance. If I return to India, this would be a must visit.
