Hotel Hari Bhawan Palace

On 27 February 2025, we tried to check in after booking through Agoda under its pet reservation option, since it listed the hotel as allowing pets. Prasad, the hotel owner, flatly refused us and treated us like “untouchables” and “trash.” When we pointed out Agoda’s pet-friendly listing, he said it was Agoda’s problem and told us to contact them. The place was already horrible, but their behavior was completely unacceptable. We had nowhere else to go and even offered to pay double for one night, but they wouldn’t budge. Travelers and pet owners, please don’t come here. I’ve also asked Agoda to blacklist them.

The calm setting makes it a nice place to get away from the city’s hustle while still being close to Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace, and the local markets. Hari Bhawan Palace also has enough space and a royal backdrop for small events or gatherings. It’s a heritage property that was once a royal residence, and the old architecture, grandeur, and regal atmosphere are still there. Antique furniture, traditional artwork, and spacious rooms give it plenty of character. The rooms are well kept and comfortable, with air conditioning, TV, clean bathrooms, and room service. There’s a lovely garden, and the restaurant serves tasty Rajasthani and Indian food made with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Staff are courteous, well trained, and helpful in a warm, respectful way. The hotel is in a peaceful part of Bikaner and mixes historic charm with modern comforts, making for a memorable stay for families or solo travelers. It feels like good value, with a quiet atmosphere, quality service, and a strong heritage feel. One of the best heritage hotel experiences in Bikaner.

The rooms are okay for the price, but getting service is a problem. Reception or room service often won’t answer your call. I gave it three stars because Mr. Zahid on the morning shift was so pleasant that his behavior can make your day.

The receptionist was really humble and kind, and even let me have a room before check-in time. My room was clean and well looked after. The hotel was so good.
