Hotel Taj Darbar

Even after midnight they kept playing loud music, without regard for the guests staying there or the people around them. They should show more consideration and responsibility. They have no manners.

The location and ambience at Hotel Taj Darbar in Bodh Gaya are excellent, and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. But I couldn't get the electric kettle I needed for my medication, despite asking staff on both the night and day shifts. Some rooms had kettles and others didn't. There were other problems too: some toilet flushes didn't work, some rooms had no hot water, and the mattresses sagged while I slept. I couldn't get a comfortable night's rest, even in a spacious room. Removing redundant furniture, such as the three-seater sofa, round coffee table, and two chairs, could help make room for better mattresses. Our group of 50 stayed for two days. This doesn't seem to be a Taj Group of Hotels property, since standardized service and professional management would have been obvious. The drinking water bottles did carry the name “Taj”.

The service team did a superb job, and the vegetarian food was awesome. Breakfast was delicious: we had alu paratha and poha, which tasted homemade with a touch of the Chef's speciality. Hats off to the Chef and the team. We had a nice stay at Hotel Taj Darbar, Rajgir. It’s close to the temple and is a good place for a family stay. Dominos is nearby if you’re in the mood for pizza.

The staff were so good to us, it really touched our hearts. The room was excellent and so was the food. We’re very satisfied with all the service. A big thank you to everyone, and an early Happy New Year to you all.
