The rooms felt neglected and the hotel was poorly maintained, so it really wasn’t worth the price. Service was disappointing, and the food was extremely average. Even though Kung Pao sauce and oyster sauce were on the menu, the waitstaff didn’t know what either one was. I’m shocked this place has a 4.1 rating on Google. In my opinion it doesn’t deserve more than a 3. They give a 5% discount for leaving a google review, which could explain the good rating, since I can’t see another reason.

Chumki gave top notch service in the restaurant, and the resort was a peaceful place to stay and visit Bodh Gaya, as long as other guests weren’t disturbing anyone. The food was great, the rooms were good, and the resort was beautiful overall. It could use a bit more maintenance, though.

At Sambodhi Resort, the natural setting made the experience especially lovely. Hearing birds chirp in the evening added to the ambience. In my experience, it’s the best resort in gaya.

The road to this good resort is in bad shape, but once you arrive, things are comfortable. It has all amenities, and the rooms are comfortable, though the service needs improvement. It’s behind Mahabodhi temple by the banks of falgu river, and the resort is suitable for destination weddings. The food is good, hospitality is ok, and they operate a golf cart within the resort.

The food was delicious, and the staff were cooperative. I had a very good stay, with nice rooms in different styles, especially the eglu and Indonesia cottage.
