Anarkali Rest House

The room smelled awful and hadn’t been cleaned properly, so I canceled just five minutes after checking in. They kept my payment instead of refunding it. I was there to sit an exam and didn’t push the issue because the staff seemed like local goons to me. I wouldn’t consider this a safe place to stay.

I paid 850 for a room while preparing for an interview last week, and basic things were missing or broken. The toilet wasn’t properly cleaned, the flush and shower didn’t work, and I wasn’t given a bedsheet, towel, or mosquito coil. When I got sick with a cold and fever and asked for a blanket or bedsheet at night, they told me to buy one. I had to buy those other items too, along with soap and water. The bottle of water they handed me was dirty. I also asked for the Wi-Fi password while preparing for my interview. First they said the signal wouldn’t reach my room. I checked and could get a signal, but then they said they didn’t know the password. When I raised all these problems, they said I should have checked everything before checking in. I just left that garbage of a place. If you stay here, be prepared to clean the toilet and room yourself and bring your own bedsheet, towel, soap, and water. The staff didn’t care, and dealing with them made me feel I’d lose my self-respect. I’d heard good things about the hotel and had booked it many times before when my family went to brmpr. This was my first bad experience there. Thinking about how the staff might have treated my family makes me feel ashamed.

We arrived after booking ahead, but on the actual day they wouldn’t answer our calls. We had to wander around and spent three hours before finally getting a room. The staff were rude and seemed to think they were the only hotel in town. I’d suggest looking near old bus stand instead, where rooms are better and cheaper. Bhubaneswari, Radha, and Ram bhavan are a few options. I felt cheated by this whole experience.

The location made getting around simple, with autos and buses easy to find and the bus stand a short walk away near Vishal mega Mart. There’s an affordable restaurant right beside the hotel, and the food was generous and really good. Mineral water was cheap too. Check-in was easy, the staff were nice, and the hotel was couple friendly. My husband and I stayed here for my CTET exam, and the room was good for the price. It was dirty at first, but after we complained they responded quickly, changed the bedsheets, and cleaned it. A good stay, though Anarkali Rest House should keep up with cleanliness.
