Golden Eye Goa

It took almost an hour for our simple order of egg bhurji, an omelette, and tea to arrive. The staff member who seemed to be the serving captain was rude and uncooperative. I think his name was Sagar, though I'm not sure that's correct. I also got the impression that foreign guests were given special treatment, possibly because they might tip more. That made things uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you want to avoid having your mood spoiled.

At this restaurant, we were told to put in our whole order at once because ordering more tea or coffee was apparently too much to manage. One of our orders was even refused because it would take too long to prepare, while other guests seemed to face no such limits. The difference was hard to miss. It gave us the impression that Indian customers aren't meant to expect the same service as foreign tourists. If selective hospitality suits you, this may be the place.

The ambience, soft music, and peaceful setting might draw you in, but there are much better places to choose. Sagar was rude to Indian customers and made us feel unwelcome. Food also took a long time to arrive. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're completely fine with being treated in an insulting way.

We had to keep calling someone for even basic service, and the staff seemed irritated and careless when we did. Simple requests were ignored or met rudely, with no real urgency or courtesy. The team at Golden Eye Cafe came across as unprofessional and uninterested in serving us. Customer service matters in a meal out, and this was a very disappointing failure.
