Hotel The Golden Sands

We stayed here for 5 days. The rooms, service, and location at the hotel golden sand were very good. The swimming pool is small, and breakfast needs improvement. There are very good food spots nearby, so finding dinner or lunch wasn't a problem. Madam Naina's management was very good. Her behaviour and conduct were superb, and she got everything arranged for us on time. Her suggestions during our visit were useful. We had a good stay with support from Madam Naina and her subordinates.

We spent 2 nights and 3 days here. The atmosphere was good, the staff were very supportive, and the services were good quality. The pool was a letdown, though: it was dirty, smaller than expected, and there was nowhere to change.

There weren't enough staff, and it led to poor service management. The breakfast area was cramped and badly arranged, with plates or cups sometimes missing. Housekeeping was slow to respond, and empty plates and tea cups were left overnight. The towels looked as if they hadn't been washed properly. Laundry pickup was only available in the middle of the evening. When you're in Goa, who is going to be at the hotel at 5 or 6 pm to hand over clothes? There were no room or bathroom fresheners, and a foul smell filled the room, like a rat had died. Management barely seemed bothered when I reported it, and only attended to it after a reminder.

The staff were all very good. We had great service and good accommodation, and the food and service were top notch.
