Meritas Auberge Calangute Goa

That rooftop pool and its stunning views are a big plus, and I'd definitely return if I'm in Goa again. The rooms were spacious, beautiful, and very clean, with attentive service throughout. The bar and restaurant staff were wonderful, especially Mr. Nadim. The front desk staff were friendly too, though I can't remember their names.

The only regret is that it isn't right on the beach. Otherwise, the location is handy, tucked into a little lane in Calangute. With your own vehicle, Candolim and other places are about a five-minute drive away. On foot, it's around 10-15 minutes to lots of food options and shopping. Breakfast had a very good spread, and both the rooms and service were very good. The rooftop infinity pool is great. A great experience, honestly nothing to complain about.

The food was the standout for me, honestly some of the best I've had in Goa compared with many other hotels. Meritas Auberga is right in the heart of town, so the location is very convenient, and the property is well maintained. It only opened about a year and a half ago, but it's already operating like a seasoned luxury hotel. The management is excellent, professional, and well coordinated. Highly recommended!

The pool was the main reason I booked this place, and its bottom wasn't even visible. I daren't say more about it. On arrival, the bed looked made rather than changed, and the pillows underneath their covers were very soiled. I raised it with management, and the bedding had been changed when we came back, but the room was still filthy. We complained again and returned to another unclean room. This hotel needs a deep clean. Heartbroken.
