Room Maangta 340 Baga Beach

Our family ended up here after my flight was abruptly cancelled. The beach is right across the road, which is the best part. Rooms were well kept with basic amenities, the food was mostly tasty and served well, and the kids' play area kept them entertained. There's also plenty of water sports on the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful: Gopal helped my father get around in his wheelchair, Ashish provided quick service in the restaurant, and Ms Neha did what she could to make us comfortable. The evenings and nights were difficult. After sunset, the area became noisy and felt unclassy, with lots of stray and cheap men loitering around the hotel, which could make women feel unsafe when alone. It turned into a loud party atmosphere at night, and noise from the beach shacks made it hard to sleep. The jacuzzis sit outside the rooms without any privacy, and the gym is very basic. Choose this if you're looking for a party place. It's more of a hotel, and I don't know why it's called a resort. If you want somewhere neat, clean, quiet, and decent, don't come here. Take a ground-floor room if you want easy beach access throughout the day. Ocean premium plus cottages are the best.

Breakfast was the one good thing. The resort is on Baga beach road, with the road between it and the beach, in a heavily commercialised part of Baga and Calangute. It's crowded and music blares from different places until early morning, so I wouldn't recommend the location for a family. Premium rooms are close to the road with little privacy. In the Jaccuzi room, you can sit in the jacuzzi and watch people walking up and down the resort, and the water only gets lukewarm. In-room dining was slow. The rooms look bigger in photos than they are, and are really only comfortable for two. With a child over seven, don't expect a comfortable night's sleep. The bathroom also always smelled foul because of a drainage problem. We paid around 23k per night for the Jacuzzi room, and it wasn't worth it. We checked out a day early and lost the cost of that night.

The property is beautiful and well maintained. Being near the beach and the great hospitality stood out. Ms. Neha and the restaurant staff were wonderful hosts and helped make our stay memorable. Highly recommended for couples and families.

This was a poor stay all around, and I wouldn't recommend it. The food, rooms, and hospitality all fell far short of what you'd expect for the exorbitant prices. The staff were very unprofessional and didn't meet even basic hospitality standards. The resort also looks much shabbier and less well maintained than the photos online. A waste of time, money, and effort.
