We booked four days at Shivers oasis but left after two. We called MMT customer care and cancelled the rest, with a refund for two days. The owner's attitude was not friendly or considerate, though the workers were more understanding and courteous. We were in room 4, where seepage in the top corner by the glass door left the whole room smelling fungal and feeling suffocating. When we asked for another room, we were told the property only had four rooms and the others were booked by our friends. We had booked through MMT, which listed a kettle heater, but none was provided. The washroom was clean and the shower had good hot water. Room 1 looked pretty, was spacious, and had a kettle heater and huge TV. Our friend staying there had no complaints. Breakfast was included, and we were told to give our preference in the evening. When we asked, the only offer was bread and omelets. I’m vegetarian, but the host said eggs count as veg and offered bread and eggs. After a heated argument, they agreed to aloo paratha, but only one for one person. If you have to book this hotel, I’d avoid the breakfast option. The kitchen starts at 12pm, so offering breakfast makes little sense. The menu was poor, with very few appealing choices. Outside the rooms, the seating felt cluttered and unnecessary. The golden iron chairs were uncomfortable, and there were too many mosquitoes. If you’re lucky, you might see peacocks behind the property.

The room was lovely, and the restaurant at Shivers Oasis luxury rooms was exceptionally good. The food and service were among the best we’ve had in India. Alam at Shivers was especially helpful with our luggage and with service. It’s a very nice place to stay, close to everything and only a three-minute walk from the nearest beach. Highly recommend it.

We cancelled our booking halfway through and moved to another hotel. The breakfast was a letdown for 250 rs: we got omelette and toast, and vegetarians were told they could have the same because eggs count as veg. We laughed at that. After pushing for an Indian breakfast, we got them to agree to aloo paratha, but only one per person. You have to argue until you’re frustrated to get anywhere. The owner corrected me when I called this a hotel, saying it was luxury rooms. There are only four rooms, and just 001 and 002, which they call super delux, seemed decent to stay in. Rooms 003 and 004 cost almost the same but offer much less. They don’t provide a kettle, and the rooms are substantially smaller. Room 004 had fungus on the ceiling and walls that caused a smell. I’ll share photos. Choose for yourself.

The staff were amazing, and the rooms were clean and spacious. Local shops are very close, and it’s around a ten-minute walk to the beach. Lovely place to stay. I’d come back on my next visit.

Our super delux room was neat, clean and spacious, and the food was amazing and good quality. Service was quick, and everyone served us graciously. Candolim beach is only about five minutes away. This is one of the best places I’ve stayed in Candolim. Special thanks to Easy, Deepanshu, Alam and Afsan for making our Goa trip memorable.
