The Tanisi

Peter was so friendly and did more than expected to find us a nice room and help plan a wonderful vacation at Tanishi Resort. His hospitality made the trip easy and memorable. We had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend it.

This was a terrible experience, and I would never recommend Tanisi to anyone. The property looked completely different from the pictures, more like a one-star place, and the staff gave the same impression. Other options nearby at the same price include akashiya and Park inn by Radisson. I booked five nights at The Tanisi through my agent and checked with the hotel directly that the booking was confirmed before paying the agent in full. After check-in, on the morning of the fourth day, hotel staff called to say a small amount was still pending from the agent. I told them I had paid everything on my end and had confirmed that with them too. I don't know what arrangement they have with their local agent Mr Zuber and marketing manager Mr Mr abdull a sherpur. I was shocked. We came to Goa with family to enjoy ourselves, and they were unprofessional.

Paonne, the in-house multi-cuisine restaurant, is really good, and the buffet breakfast has a wide selection. The rooms are furnished with all the amenities and kept hygienic and well maintained. Staff are polite and well behaved. The hotel is ideally placed in Candolim, a little way off the main road, so it feels peaceful. Candolim beach is an easy walk away.

The food and location are their standout features, and I doubt you'll find better food nearby. Breakfast in particular is incredible. Candolim beach is about 900m away, and they have plenty of parking. They also arranged doorstep pickup and drop-off and bike rentals right at the hotel gate. Sanjana, Maninder, and everyone else helped make our stay memorable. The staff and management were impeccable and so welcoming. I'd give them 7 stars if I could. Great for couples and big families, too.
