New Hotel Shivlok by OYO Rooms

The rooms were large and clean, the food was excellent, and service was quick. Our group of eight adults and four children, travelling as four families, arrived late at night and got the rooms we wanted without any hassle, at very cheap prices. Staff were supportive and took care of what we needed. I've stayed here twice and had the same experience both times. On one trip I left behind an expensive item, and the hotel manager, Mr. Suraj Farswan, delivered it back to me. Thank you, Farswan ji, for your honest efforts and for making the trip great. This is a good place to plan a stay if you're heading toward Badrinath ji or Joshimath.

The rooms and food are fine, but the service was very, very poor. Food delivery was slow, and even after asking several times for fresh sheets, the replacements still had spots. The bedsheets weren't clean. The staff seemed untrained and ignored repeated follow-ups. I'd only stay here if I just needed somewhere to sleep.

Rooms are spacious, prices are reasonable, and the place is neat and clean. There's parking, hot water, and the staff are cooperative and efficient. Food was okay. It's right on the Badarinath highway, so it works well for pilgrims. I was among the first few guests after the year-long Covid 19 closure, and there were some maintenance problems because the hotel had been closed for a long time. That seemed understandable.

The room is spacious, but the bathroom fixtures need replacing. Hot water is only available in the morning, not all the time. Food was okay and service was slow. Just an okay place to stay.
