Ginger Chandigarh

The Executive Suite was spacious and comfortable, though the bathroom had no lock, which was inconvenient while traveling with our son. That's something the hotel should improve. We spent one night at Novotel Chandigarh, and overall it was pleasant, with quick, easy check-in and checkout. We had lunch and breakfast at Food Exchange, and both meals were enjoyable. The mutton biryani was delicious, and the breakfast spread was good, with impressive live counters. Rahul Sharma from the restaurant team deserves a special mention for his smiles, attentiveness and focus on guests' comfort. His service made both meals especially nice.

The staff's kindness is what made my stay memorable. Everyone was polite and professional, and their genuine smiles and effort to help left a great impression. MS PRABHNOOR KAUR was especially warm, friendly and attentive. They checked that I was comfortable and remembered little things from earlier conversations, which made me feel cared for like family rather than just another guest. From the moment I arrived, the calm, elegant atmosphere felt welcoming. The interiors were beautifully kept and the peaceful surroundings seemed thoughtfully arranged to help guests feel comfortable and relaxed.

The breakfast charge was the worst part of our stay at **Novotel Chandigarh**. We were charged ₹2700 for two aloo parathas and tea, and the staff were rude and had little courtesy. At breakfast, after we gave our room number, 601, we were told we owed another ₹2,600 for the buffet because it supposedly wasn't included. That was embarrassing, especially as we didn't have our wallet with us. Someone later came to our room to collect the money before we'd even settled in. I had booked through the Accor website and planned to pay at check-in. There, I asked for an executive room with breakfast. Mr.Mridual said Accor members got 5% off, and charged ₹8,500, assuring me it covered both the room and breakfast. When we raised the discrepancy with receptionist GARIMA, they insisted breakfast wasn't part of our booking, despite that promise. The restaurant should tell guests before they eat if breakfast isn't included. The check-in commitment wasn't honored, and we felt misled and humiliated. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

Gaurav was the best part of our family dinner at Anardana Restaurant. He was humble and suggested some chef's special dishes. The food was delicious, and everyone enjoyed it. They also kept the promise they made about the food when we booked. My family would like to eat there again when we come back.
