Hotel Silver One

For a solo traveler staying one night, this could work, but I wouldn't recommend it for families. It's very budget friendly, so don't expect much from the room quality. The hotel feels more like a lodge. It's very close to Chandigarh railway station, and the rooms and bathrooms were average and clean. The staff could use a more professional touch. The rooms are good, but there's no ventilation and the walls are creeping. There were no toiletries, just handwash, even for bathing.

We stayed here on March 1. The location near the station and the polite staff were the only positives. The room and washroom were very dirty and unhygienic, and the floors were dirty too. The pillow covers and sheets were extremely dirty and clearly hadn't been changed. We asked to have the room cleaned before going in, but it was still in the same state. Management seriously needs to improve housekeeping and cleanliness.

We were seven people but were given only two rooms, which was already uncomfortable. They also told us about a ₹1000 late checkout fee only afterward, even though it was nearly 80% of the room price. The staff, especially the owner, were arrogant and disrespectful despite us paying the full amount they asked for. The owner even hung up in the middle of a conversation. As students traveling from another state, we expected basic respect. Paying and getting no respect in return makes staying here pointless.

The food was very tasty, and the service and staff were nice. The room was very nice, and this is a very good hotel for families. Everything was good, and packing is available. Thanks to the hotel staff.
