Lemon Tree Hotel, Chandigarh

Meeting Harshit at the Front Desk made us feel right at home. He responded very quickly to everything we asked and treated my family so well. We had a pleasant experience here, and his kindness made us feel good. I'd recommend this destination as a first choice for families and individuals, with people like Harshit ready to help as best they can.

The buffet menu sounds extensive, but getting anything seems to depend on how much you plead. At dinner they took ages to approve the chicken options, then told me, “Okay sir, it’s approved.” I’d be better off ordering through Swiggy or Zomato. They seem to give good service only to guests from Russia or other countries. Don’t be fooled by appearances, I found this hotel cheap and unethical.

The service was good, though I had to call housekeeping several times at night to get the extra bed. Breakfast is included, so I might try it in the morning, but I can’t comment on the food yet. This is an average corporate hotel with a brand name, not somewhere to expect luxury or a great experience. Room service, laundry on request, and housekeeping are available. The lobby and rooms were clean, but the rooms felt cramped and poorly laid out, with the bathroom door opening right beside the bed. The views from the hotel were poor too.

The air conditioning didn’t work, and the room felt unbearably hot even in cold weather. It seemed like the units hadn’t been replaced in decades. For a room costing 6,000 rupees, I expect working AC at the very least. I booked because I expected better from the Lemon Tree name, but this was the worst branch I’ve stayed at across cities. The room was tiny and below average, and the food was overpriced. With this room quality, the price should be around 3,000 rupees maximum. I’ve stayed in much better hotels in Chandigarh, with better rooms and service, and working AC, for just 4,000 rupees.
