The hotel used to be a luxury property, and it still has spacious, well-lit rooms and some of its former charm and ambience. But the service culture was missing throughout, from the bellboy and receptionists to security and the in-house dining staff. The staff were noticeably impolite. Food choices were limited in appeal, and the taste was insipid. Room fittings are well past their prime, and smoking rules seemed lax. I was first given a room on a non-smoking floor, but it reeked of smoke. After I pointed that out, they moved me to a proper non-smoking room, which was a relief.

What a waste of a great city-center location. The place is a perfect example of how the government operates in hospitality. The food was pathetic, and the F&B department seems stuck in the 90s with both quality and menu design. Banqueting was very poor, with stale snacks and food. The fitness club is just a face saver.

Everything was overpriced, while the service and quality didn’t come close to justifying the cost. The buffet was very average, nowhere near what you’d expect from a premium hotel. They claim it’s five-star, but my stay didn’t even meet a three-star standard. Staff lacked basic courtesy and professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend it, and it definitely wasn’t worth the money.

Staff attitude was disappointing, and they seemed much more focused on money than on guest satisfaction. The hotel feels like an old government office: outdated, poorly maintained, and unhygienic. It wasn’t a pleasant experience.

The hotel has a nice atmosphere and decent facilities, but the room and bathroom feel worn out. Water on the floor barely drained. The mattress was the worst part: when I turned over, it dipped and shifted with me, maybe because the springs are worn. I woke with back and muscle pain and couldn't sleep comfortably. Staying in the middle was the only way to manage; anywhere else meant a sleepless night. They really need to replace those mattresses.
