OYO 9940 Shashank Villa

It's a nice place, though it seems less suited to foreign tourists. A boy who didn't know English received us when we arrived, but the manager we met later was very nice. The room was large and modern, with great A/C, but the sheets were dirty and there were ants. When we told the staff, they moved us to another room right away. The food was okay. It's far from the center, with no nearby convenience shops or ATMs for foreigners, though a modern mall with high-end shops is close by.

The staff were polite and helpful, but they didn't explain all the package details. I didn't receive the complimentary breakfast that was meant to be included, and the menu prices were quite high.

The rooms are fine, and the newly built property was neat and clean. But watch the food bill: they don't keep a record of your daily orders, then add extra items when settling up and charge more. The staff were rude and had no manners when asked to wear a mask. After we'd paid, the caretaker called and said not to worry about the extra money because small things like that can be ignored.

The staff were extremely helpful and polite. They brought dinner to our room when we were tired after a long trip, brought buckets of hot water since there was none in the bathrooms, and called an Ola cab for the airport. The rooms and bathrooms were large and clean, with plenty of storage and AC, and the price was reasonable. I gave four stars because the location was hard to find. The directions said behind DT mall, but locals didn't know where that was. DLF City Centre is nearby, but calling the hotel for directions wasn't helpful since we were coming from Shimla and didn't know the local landmarks. There's not much nearby either, no taxi or auto stand, and no ATM.
