The Altius A Boutique Hotel

At the Holi party, the DJ music was a real letdown, especially the lady DJ. Most people wanted Punjabi songs to dance to, but Bollywood kept playing and it didn’t work for the crowd. The last DJ was quite good, though, and you could see people enjoying his tracks. The other three DJs were disappointing. They need to pay attention to what the audience wants. We paid to have a good time, but it felt like a waste of money.

The worst part of this wedding at Altius Boutique Hotel was the manager, Rinnie. She was rude and dismissive when guests complained, and showed no concern. Her unhelpful, disrespectful attitude made things worse instead of fixing them. The service overall was very poor. Staff seemed unprepared and disorganized, basic arrangements weren’t handled properly, and guests had to ask repeatedly for help. Even then, responses were slow and inefficient. For such a special occasion, the service fell far below what we expected. A wedding is once in a lifetime, and poor management can ruin it. We booked the hotel for three days for a wedding. In the middle of January a storm came through, and we had to change all the decorations and arrangements. Rinnie and her team were really helpful and flexible, going out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly. It was a great experience. Keep up the good work!

The room didn’t meet expectations, especially for ₹5,000. There was no bath mat or towel, and the washroom smelled bad. I was also surprised by a ₹150++ charge for a single bucket of ice. The food was average. I had emailed two days before arrival with special requests, but none were arranged by check-in, though check-in itself went smoothly. At breakfast, honey wasn’t available until I asked several times, and when it came, it was in an unclean bowl. They didn’t have espresso, and the staff didn’t seem to know about sparkling water either. For a property listed as four-star, these service and amenity gaps are concerning. I hope management takes the feedback positively and improves the guest experience.
