I felt unsafe and disrespected here. The manager was aggressive and predatory, behaving more like a local goon than someone in hospitality. I was physically intimidated into paying unauthorized extra charges for food, which felt like harassment, not a billing mistake. The staff were rude and dismissive, even over simple requests. This was the worst service I've experienced in a long time. A hotel depends on its people, and this team doesn't meet basic expectations. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

Our trip to Chandipur was on December 13,2025. We had booked three rooms at HOTEL SHUBHAM for two days a month ahead of time. The location near Chandipur beach is very good, but my experience there was very bad because of the manager's behaviour. At booking, they showed us pictures of a deluxe room on the second floor. When we arrived, they assigned us a very poor room on the first floor. We argued for a while, and after we kept insisting, the manager was forced to give us a deluxe room on the ground floor. Later, we ordered six plates of food with a meal system in our room. There was very little rice, and when we asked for more, they charged an extra 120 rupees. They also added GST to the food without providing a GST bill. I have never seen a worse hotel manager. He is unprofessional, and I would warn anyone booking this hotel to be careful so they don't face the same trouble. I'm asking the HOTEL WONER to change the manager as soon as possible if they want to maintain the hotel's reputation.

The rooms were just okay for what they charged, but the food and location were top tier. The hotel has a good view, and the beach is only a few meters away.

There are electricity and leakage problems all around, and the staff are rude and disrespectful. This is the worst hotel you'll ever get. Don't come here.

The food was absolutely awful, the worst I've ever eaten. It was completely bad and useless, and way too expensive. The hotel service was very bad too.
