Citilet Business Hotel

The place felt really pathetic and unhygienic, with cockroaches, stained furniture, and cramped corridors. I don't understand why Google calls it a five-star property. Please don't book online. Visit and see it for yourself before making what could be a serious booking mistake.

One of Chennai's worst hotels, in my experience. The room shown online looked beautiful, but I was given a shabby one with a mosquito in it. When I complained, they spoke rudely.

The broken bathroom window meant people on the terrace across the way could see inside. I told the staff, but they brushed off the privacy issue and did nothing. My three-day stay at Citilets was ruined by one staff member's unprofessional conduct. He acted arrogantly and treated customers disrespectfully. He didn't know Tamil well, yet blamed me, a native Tamil speaker, for poor understanding. I don't know his background, but he wasn't South Indian and may have been from the North East. The management seemed money-minded and irresponsible. Unless that staff member is replaced or retrained, I won't stay at Citilets again, and I don't recommend it for anyone seeking a safe, comfortable stay.

It's handy that you can walk to Vadapalani metro stn, but the rooms could be cleaner. The road right outside is noisy, and you can hear it indoors.
