Elite Stays at Nanganallur Near Chennai Airport

The room was tiny, about the size of a matchbox, and nothing like the photos online. Cockroaches were on the bed, chair, and all around, in a damp, musty space that didn’t seem to get cleaned or aired out. I checked before checking in and am glad I did. The person at reception barely cared about the booking. It’s not actually near the airport, and the secluded area felt shady. Even though it was very late and I thought about staying, I went elsewhere to avoid getting sick. It wasn’t worth the price or the distance, and was completely unhygienic. A nightmare. Please check the room yourself before booking.

We booked Townhouse Nanganallur near Chennai Airport for three days during the RenewX Expo, but left with our luggage and found somewhere else almost immediately. The place was so bad we couldn’t manage even one night, though we’d paid for the booking. I have photos that show what it was really like. The rooms were shockingly small and cramped, filthy, and full of cockroaches and other insects. The bathroom was unclean, badly maintained, and miserable to use. The property felt neglected and unlivable. Service was just as bad. My colleague arrived early in the morning and was refused entry before 10:30 AM. The expo started at 9 AM, and we had a valid reason for arriving then, but the receptionist was rude, arrogant, and shouted at him rather than showing basic courtesy. It’s at least four to five kms inland, nowhere close to the main road or airport. The roads leading there are decent. The whole experience was frustrating and exhausting, with none of the basic hospitality you’d expect. I strongly advise others to avoid this badly managed place. I gave one star only because there was no negative star option, and this place does deserve a single star rating. Not worth a penny. Avoid it.

I arrived with a confirmed, prepaid Agoda booking, but the hotel refused to give me a room. They rudely said I should contact Agoda. This caused a lot of inconvenience and was completely unacceptable. Agoda should investigate the property and take strict action so this doesn’t happen to other customers.

I was in room 108, and cockroaches kept crawling around the room all night, so I couldn’t sleep properly. The room was dirty, and even after I repeatedly asked reception, no housekeeping was done. The man at reception was arrogant and wouldn’t help me find food. I paid 1812 rupees for a room that wasn’t worth even 500. I’ve had the worst hotel stay of my life. Staying at the railway station would be much better.
