Essentia Premier Hotel Chennai OMR

The privacy and safety issue was the worst part of my stay. After I had checked in and freshened up, a staff member named Vetrivel let himself into my room with his own key without knocking while I was changing. He had no explanation when I questioned him. I emailed the authorities and, on my lawyer’s advice, sent reminders, but got no reply or acknowledgment. There seemed to be no staff available to handle issues beyond one person at reception. This felt absolutely unsafe for a woman staying alone. I was assigned Room No. 3010 at Essentia Premier Hotel Chennai OMR for the night of 06-Dec-2025 to 07-Dec-2025. On arrival, I found the lift wasn’t working. After a long journey, I waited nearly 30 minutes for someone to repair it, and it still wasn’t working after 24 hours. Only after I spoke with the Manager did someone take me via the service lift, which was extremely dirty and unhygienic. I was surprised a hotel with so many rooms had just one working guest lift. If there were a fire, guests could be trapped. Reception had no staff, and the security person called to help carry my luggage up the stairs refused, telling the reception lady to wait until the lift was working. I would not recommend Essencia Premier OMR.

The staff were really kind, and the hotel was clean and well kept. I enjoyed staying here. It’s in OMR, with good connections to nearby beaches.

Thanks to Lina for looking after us. I really enjoyed the stay, and the restaurant was clean and served good food. A good experience overall.

Management cancelled my room after I arrived, even though I’d booked it through the Agoda app at a discounted price. They gave silly reasons and wouldn’t provide the room. If they don’t want to honor lower prices, why list the hotel on an app like that? The worst experience I’ve had with hotel management.
