FabHotel Namadhu Illam

FabHotels customer service was very poor, and by the end I wasn't even sure whether our booking had gone through. At the hotel, the receptionists were rude and disrespectful. The beds were unclean, and the bath water was salty. They didn't have the room we'd booked and only gave us excuses. We had checked in late and asked for extra time at checkout because elderly people were staying with us, but they flatly refused. There are too many other problems to list, and reviewing this place feels like a waste of time. Such a disappointment. I won't recommend this hotel or any FabHotels after this experience.

I booked rooms through agoda for the evening of Dec 31. When I arrived, two men said the rooms were full and blamed agoda for overbooking. They were rude and gave no proper response. If the place was full, they should have stopped taking bookings. Two or three other people were also told there were no rooms while I was there. When I asked agoda for a refund, the property claimed I hadn't shown up and that rooms had been available, so I had to submit the bill for the room I'd booked to get my money back. One case might have been a system problem, but seeing this happen to others makes it seem like a scam.

It's easy to get to, with a metro station nearby, but everything about the stay was badly maintained. The hotel uses two names, fab hotel nammadhu illam and oyo townhouse 1067. They charged 1000rs extra for early check-in, saying they were busy even though rooms were available. The rooms had only basic amenities, and they didn't provide anything else, water, or wifi. Room service wasn't available either. We had to order food from outside, and they charged us for a plate. The two men at reception acted like goons and demanded money for everything. The hotel has an unwelcoming atmosphere, and I hope management takes action against them. With the room, early check-in, and food costs together, you could get a good room at a 3 star hotel.

We paid 25% of the total cost for our reservation and received hundreds of confirmation messages and emails. Then, after we arrived, all we heard was, "All rooms are full." Terrible people and terrible service. Please don't book or trust them. It feels like a complete scam.
