The beds were a pleasant surprise for the price, and the room had enough space. The AC worked well, as did the TV, lights, and other facilities. The bathroom was especially clean and hygienic. Finding GM Residency was easy with Google Maps, and it’s in a main area near the Panjali Amman Bus Stop in Arumbakkam. I stayed two nights and paid ₹1000 a night, which felt like excellent value. Check-in and checkout went smoothly, and the staff were helpful and polite. I did ask for a bedsheet, but one wasn’t provided. The property could also use some general maintenance. Even with that, I’d recommend GM Residency to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable budget hotel in Arumbakkam, Chennai.

It’s affordable and well located, though the rooms are small and the service is just average.

A basic budget hotel with small rooms and not much ventilation. It has the essentials, and could use better maintenance. Fine for a short stay if you’re watching your budget.

A terrible stay. The room hadn’t been cleaned, the blankets and pillows were dirty, and the cupboards and bed were damaged. The bed also creaked.
