Hotel Akmg Towers - Chennai

The room was maintained well and the ambience was good, but the manager at the desk ruined the experience. We booked through makemytrip, and they said check-in was only at 2pm. We were visiting from outside Chennai for an important purpose and would've paid extra for an early check-in. Instead, we sat in the lobby until the tobacco-stained manager told us we couldn't sit there either. He was arrogant and treated us terribly. Money wasn't the issue, basic hospitality was. Higher management should remove a desk manager who doesn't know how to treat customers. The rooms were good, with no complaints, but I'd never recommend the hotel because of his behavior. Anyone coming from outside Chennai or tamilnadu should avoid it. If no other rooms are available, use the railway waiting room or sleeping rooms instead. This manager will spoil your whole mood.

I paid Rs 1800/- for a single room. It was neat and clean, but the service was below average. The TV didn't work, and despite calling several times, nobody came to fix it. The problem was still there from check-in to checkout. They'd left a dental kit box in the bathroom, but it was empty. Hope they improve the service.

The room was simple but clean, fresh, and comfortable, with everything needed for a good stay. The bed was comfortable and housekeeping kept things tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful, and both check-in and checkout went smoothly. Even though it's near a busy area, the hotel felt quiet and safe. It seemed good value for the location and cleanliness. Hotel AKMG is very close to Chennai Central Railway Station, with Central Metro a short walk away, which made getting around easy. I stayed for two nights and had a pleasant time. I'd recommend it for a simple, clean, well-located stay near Chennai Central, and would happily come back.

I want management to look into what happened and take corrective action so other guests don't face the same treatment. During my stay at Hotel AKMG, Chennai, the manager, Mr. Prakash, was rude and dishonest, on top of poor cleanliness and unsatisfactory service. When I asked to extend my stay, he said no rooms were available, but I later found that wasn't true. We left the room by 1:00 PM, within reasonable checkout expectations. Around 6:00 PM, we were sitting quietly in the hotel balcony / waiting area for our train and causing no disturbance. Mr. Prakash appeared annoyed and spoke rudely, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. This showed a lack of basic hospitality and professionalism. With rude communication, false information, and intolerance toward guests, this business can't be run properly.
