Hotel Grand Galaxy - T Nagar

We were left scrambling for another hotel late that night after our four rooms, booked by Brahma tour & travels, were cancelled at the last minute because an MLA had booked for a family function. We were 10 travelers from Malaysia, including two kids. The replacement service apartments provided were very dirty and in an unsafe area. Very, very disappointing.

It’s an ideal base for shopping throughout T. Nagar, and being off the main road kept noise almost nonexistent. I had a comfortable, well-maintained room during my three-night stay at Grand Galaxy. The front desk, especially Mr. Krishnamoorthy, and the service team went above and beyond. They first said there was availability for just one night, but managed to secure two more nights without a hitch. A standout choice for future visits.

In the heart of the city, Grand Galaxy Hotel in T. Nagar, Chennai, made it easy to reach shopping areas and restaurants. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were polite and helpful. Check-in was smooth, and the hospitality was good. For the price, the amenities were good value. A comfortable, convenient place to stay in Chennai, especially if you want to be near the action in T. Nagar. I’d recommend it.

I stayed here three times, and in December 2022 it was very good, as the hotel had just opened. By 2024, the rooms and washroom were dirty and stinky, with a very unpleasant smell. Hygiene was lacking. People talked loudly at night, so you couldn’t sleep, and room service came only once in three days. Plates were left in the corridor and there was extra noise in the hotel. I think it’s become a hotel mainly for locals now. I don’t think families with children should go there.
