First Inn Hotels

The rooms are clean, which is about the only positive. I’ve been staying here three days a week for the past four weeks for work, and the staff and management still haven’t dealt with the problems I’ve raised. I’ve been moved through five rooms, and the TV hasn’t worked in any of them. They keep blaming the set-top box, network or cable operator, but don’t fix it. There aren’t proper sockets for working with a laptop, and they wouldn’t provide a spike buster for charging even after I asked. Their unsecured Wi-Fi won’t connect to my VPN, so I’ve had to use mobile data all day. It’s not suitable for work, especially for the price they charge. The centralized AC barely works during the day. The restaurant has lost our room number after taking an order, and when the food finally arrived it wasn’t warm. Asking for drinking water hasn’t helped either: they say they’ll bring a glass, then never return. There’s no complimentary breakfast, and on stays longer than a day nobody checks whether you need basics like shampoo, soap or a fresh towel, even when the towel hasn’t dried. I checked in again today and the TV still doesn’t work. Staff said they’d look at it later. If this is how they treat someone who books repeatedly, I can only wonder what it’s like for a new customer. I keep choosing it because it’s close to my office. Otherwise, it’s a complete disappointment.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a useful work area, but the basic services didn’t justify the price. My booking included breakfast, yet none was served. The desk called 15 minutes before checkout; I missed the call, and they later said I’d missed breakfast. For supplies, there was only a refilled local water bottle I wasn’t comfortable drinking, a shampoo sachet and a cheap soap bar. No dental kit. Before arriving, I’d called the desk and confirmed an early check-in for an extra fee, then sent my check-in and checkout details on WhatsApp. They confirmed a specific price, but at the hotel staff demanded a full extra day’s charge. They only agreed to the price we’d settled on after I showed them the messages. The poor communication and lack of basics made the stay feel not worth the cost.

Overpriced, with tiny rooms. The toilet was dirty and smelled bad. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

Clean rooms, a good vegetarian restaurant, and a convenient location for getting to the airport. A very good choice for business travel.
