At 1 AM, most places were fully booked, so I’d already checked this place before heading over. The taxi from the airport cost 500, and the room was 1600. The room wasn’t clean, and all the locks were worn out. The manager seemed like a crook, and they even charged extra for a bottle of water. I don’t understand how stays like this get government permission. One of the most horrible stays of my life.

The taxi driver brought me here from the airport and charged 500₹ for a 2 km trip. He said the hotel was good and would cost under 1k, but they charged 1500. The rooms were unhygienic and smelled really bad, there were paan stains on the basin, and the bathroom smelled too. They didn’t provide Wi-Fi, towels, or any amenities you’d expect at an average 1.5k hotel. The room wasn’t very big, there were smoke buds lying around, and it was non-AC. The fan made a zhum sound. Since it was midnight and I had no other option, I stayed, but I’d never have chosen it otherwise. My first day in Chennai left me traumatized. The worst experience ever.

After checkout at 12:00, we waited just a few minutes for a taxi, but the staff threw us out. They wouldn’t let us wait in reception, without considering women’s safety. The behavior was very rude and the service was bad. A really awful experience 😭

The rooms and restroom were unhygienic, and there weren’t even basic facilities. They seem to use the nearby airport as a reason to charge more. The reception person was focused on charging for every minute of delay, and we had to pay an extra 200Rs for being 15 minutes late. A nightmare of a stay. I really wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The owner’s behavior was terrible, and the room and restroom weren’t kept clean. We weren’t given blankets or towels either.
