The stay itself was comfortable, and the room and facilities were satisfactory. We’d originally booked through MMT. In the evening, we gave reception the details to extend our booking, and they said they’d handle it. The next day, though, they suddenly refused the extension. At the last minute it was really hard to find another hotel, which left us stressed and caused a lot of inconvenience. Very disappointing booking management. The staff need to coordinate better and follow through on what they confirm.

The room was neat and the bathroom facilities were good. Staff service was great too. Still, the open window only closes, it doesn’t lock, so safety feels limited. We also needed reception to explain how the hot water works and what amenities were available before we went to the room.

I sometimes have a drink at the bar late at night, but I’m usually quiet and don’t want to bother anyone. Manager Mr.karthik seemed to have some ego issue with me. He owns bars, sure, but apparently has a problem with peaceful drinkers. The way he spoke and acted was like I was at a wine shop.

The family-friendly feel made Hotel Park Plaza a good fit for our stay, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had plenty of room, with all the amenities we needed. It was a really enjoyable, relaxing experience, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable getaway.

The location is handy for Egmore railway station, and the surroundings were clean and tidy. Rooms are spacious and kept neat, though the linens are only average. Food and service were normal too. It’s an old hotel maintained to an average level, and the tariff seems high for what you get.
