ibis Chennai SIPCOT Hotel

Tanmaya gave really good service, truly the best. I also found the stay very convenient for a business trip, with the hotel right by the IT corridor. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and the staff were courteous and ready to help. My room was clean, modern, and well-kept, with the essentials, a comfortable bed, and quick room service. Breakfast had a decent range, and the atmosphere felt lively but still relaxing. It was good value in Chennai, and I’d recommend it for business or a short leisure visit.

The breakfast was very good and delicious, and the hotel is near the IT park area. But I paid a high price for a room that didn’t feel worth it. It was cramped, with a tiny bathroom like one on a plane, and there was no proper parking. Service was poor too. I called twice about an issue and it still wasn’t fixed. At midnight it’s hard to reach reception directly, since the call seems to go to voicemail. The rooms seem designed for business delegates. For a leisure stay, I wouldn’t choose this hotel.

I booked a particular room, but the staff refused to give it to me and said the interconnected room they assigned was the only one available. The toilet flush didn’t work. A technician came after two hours and said he’d fixed it, but the same problem was still there when I checked. Reception said they’d move me the next day, but after several calls they still didn’t change rooms. Only after I escalated it to the manager did they give me a separate room. The room felt cramped and wasn’t worth the price. The food was below average, and the restaurant staff were rude. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and service was prompt. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Everything met expectations, so I’d recommend ibis for an easy, comfortable stay.
