I had to pay ₹2000 and check in because I had no alternative at that hour, but the pricing had changed drastically by the time I arrived. OYO showed ₹832 for a non-AC room. My flight landed at 3:00 AM on 04/12/2025, and OYO’s automated helpdesk said early check-in after 6 AM would cost ₹249.6. I called the hotel to confirm, and staff said the total would be around ₹1200, which I accepted given my luggage and situation. At arrival, he changed the story and said he’d been “confused.” He then claimed they didn’t have non-AC rooms, which seemed false because the switches showed the same room could be converted by turning the AC on or off. For an AC room he wanted ₹2000 if I left by 10 AM, a little over 24 hours, or ₹1800 for 24 hours. That sudden increase at 6 AM felt exploitative, especially when a guest is vulnerable. I also called OYO customer care twice. Both calls played automated prompts, never connected me to anyone, and ended abruptly without help. The room conditions were unsafe, unhygienic, and nothing like the misleading OYO photos. I have photos and videos of what I found. In the bathroom, only the shower and jet spray had water, the toilet seat was broken and stained, and the damaged corners and drains had cockroaches and worms crawling around. It was unsanitary and unfit for human use. The room smelled strongly, and the sheets and pillow covers were dirty, stained, and had visible fungal patches. Under the bed was a large bed bug infestation, as if it hadn’t been cleaned or fumigated in a long time. I couldn’t stay in the room for more than 30 minutes, had to leave repeatedly, and only left my luggage there. The TV didn’t work, the remote was broken, and several electrical wires were hanging exposed, which felt like a serious safety risk.
