Nest Lay Rooms Mogappair

This is a homestay hotel in Mogappair west, basically a villa under Oyo management. It’s in a nice residential area, with restaurants, grocery shops, shopping complexes, a gym and a park all within walking distance. Check prices before booking, since they vary randomly on weekends. Unmarried couples aren’t welcome.

The OYO rooms executive was understanding and cooperative, which is the only reason I gave one star. The stay itself was one problem after another. When we arrived, the lights were inadequate, and the AC and fan weren’t working properly. The fan speed kept changing overnight and stopped altogether for nearly an hour. We complained to the manager repeatedly, but were told this happens and nothing could be done. There were also cockroaches in the restroom. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I stayed there last week. The place seemed to be run by goons, and the staff were so lethargic. We paid for breakfast, but they took the money and never came back. The so-called manager wouldn’t even listen when we shouted at him. There are better places nearby, so book somewhere else if you don’t want a bad experience. Zero stars.

It’s a budget bed and breakfast, averaging USD 25-30 a night. The guesthouse is a converted house with six rooms, about 500 metres off the highway in a residential society. There aren’t any good dine-in options nearby, and it has no gym, pool or laundry service. A housekeeper who lives there full time handles reception. Parking is a problem too.
