OYO 7697 India Gate Par View

The room smelled bad, with broken walls and peeling paint, and it didn't feel worth paying for. The online pictures look like a different hotel, which I found misleading. Staff were rude and unprofessional, and didn't seem to care about our concerns. I had a terrible stay at HOTEL O India Gate Park View. I'm surprised OYO still lists it. I strongly advise people to avoid this place.

The staff at Oyo Indiagate were helpful, and I had a wonderful stay. I'd like to visit again.

At 10:00 pm, after cancelling our booking, they still didn't give us a room. We spoke to the property manager, who said the accommodation was cancelled and we'd get a refund. He hadn't been willing to give it the previous day either. We'd booked well ahead, but on arrival staff demanded unexplained extra charges that hadn't been mentioned when we booked. When we asked about the rooms, they were dismissive, rude, and arrogant. The whole thing felt like a scam, with no transparency or basic hospitality. I wouldn't recommend the hotel, and I ask OYO Hotel Bookings to review it and remove it from the platform. Hidden charges and staff who don't respect customers damage trust in OYO, so I urge the company to take strict action and protect its reputation.

After contacting customer care, we waited an hour for a connection to the hotel manager, who didn't answer. Neither did the reception, which customer care wanted to speak to. Earlier, I'd booked through the app and called to tell them I'd arrive late, but nobody picked up. When we got there two hours later, they'd given our prepaid room to someone else without checking with me. They wanted extra payment for another room or a transfer in the OYO space. The reception showed no responsibility, and we felt awful about being neglected. They eventually gave us a deluxe room until 7pm, then moved us to a 9sqft room with barely space for a bed. Its poor mattress had holes and metal springs that poked us through the night, and the open door blocked the bathroom entrance. It was the worst room I've stayed in. The deluxe room had room to move around and three beds. Money is everything here. If you're travelling on a budget, check the room details before booking. The reception people can't speak Tamil either.
