Oyo Home 41633 G-Cloud

The staff were polite, and the room was cleaned quickly at check-in. We paid 1500 for an A/C room and the water heater worked properly. Fair enough and affordable for a couple. Some people mentioned problems in reviews, but we didn’t run into any, so I can’t speak to those.

The AC didn’t work and there was no water in the bathroom. I was with elderly people who couldn’t sleep or bathe, and we suffered badly. Staff behaved very rudely. I’d booked and paid online through the Oyo app, but at check-in they demanded more money. They held onto our ID cards and returned them at checkout only if the demanded amount had been paid. There are also reports of illegal activities here. My advice to bachelors and couples too, please avoid this lodge or you’ll have a bitter experience. A complete waste of money.

It’s a quiet, safe place, but the amenities weren’t satisfactory. The toilet seat was broken and the rooms weren’t very clean. Hotel staff also asked for more than the amount shown in the app. They kept my ID and only gave it back at checkout, which didn’t feel right.

Cabs were easy to get, which helps because the hotel is a little way from the main road and junction. To reach a restaurant, you’d need to walk at least 2km or book a cab. The room wasn’t maintained well, and the cleaning seemed to be just for show. There was dust under the bedcoat, food waste left in the kitchen, a cramped bathroom with a closet that wasn’t fixed, hangers pulled out of the wall, and lots of mosquitoes. Oyo showed a lower rent when we booked, but they insisted on their own rate of 1400/-per room for one day. For what they provide, that’s a very poor deal, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
