S Hotels Chennai

The hotel staff were kind and very courteous. Mr Kumaran at reception, along with Mr Ganesh, Mr Lokesh and Mr Balaji, kept going out of their way to help. A nice, decent hotel.

For the price, this seemed like one of the better choices, and T Nagar is a central spot for getting around. But the room itself was a letdown. Sound carries badly: I could hear the next room's TV blaring until 11.45 pm, then people kept walking through the hallway all night. The rooms really need better soundproofing. Breakfast was mediocre, and nothing else about the hotel stood out. For what it cost, I could have found better food options outside.

Everything else was okay, but the lobby is quite small and made it difficult for the tempo to drop us off. The toilet also wasn't as clean as you'd expect from a hotel described as 4 star, so that needs improvement.

The rooms are good value if you're here for consulate or VAC business. The restaurant was average, and our non-smoking room smelled of smoke. Breakfast wasn't included.
