St Parklane Airport Hotel Chennai

Dinner was the one good part of my stay at ST Parklane Airport Hotel, Chennai. The room itself smelled strongly unpleasant, had visible fungal patches on the walls, and even had a hole in the window ceiling. I also found a cockroach, which made the stay uncomfortable, and the room clearly wasn’t being kept clean or maintained properly. The receptionist called Room 106 one of their “best rooms,” which left me wondering about the rest. The AC didn’t work at first, either. Room service staff kept tapping and adjusting the remote until it finally came on. Being near the airport is convenient, but the condition of the rooms and the wider cleanliness and maintenance problems make this hotel hard to recommend.

I was highly disappointed by the driver accommodation. The restroom was filthy, the walls were damaged and damp, and the whole area was missing basic hygiene and upkeep. Drivers are professionals and deserve clean facilities and respect. These conditions aren’t acceptable for guests or drivers, and management needs to address them and keep to minimum hygiene standards.

The staff were friendly and supportive, but the rooms aren’t maintained well and the rate is far too high. With complimentary breakfast and lunch or dinner, I’d value this hotel at Rs 2000-2400. Without food, it’s worth only Rs 1100.

After our long journey, we checked in and ended up checking out within a few hours. The receptionist’s unwelcoming attitude put us off right away, and the expensive room didn’t feel worth what we paid. It wasn’t properly maintained and had a stressful feel, with a very large hole near the window where anything could get through. There was a similar problem in the bathroom. We were completely dissatisfied and wouldn’t recommend booking here.
