Crystal Park (Opp US Consulate)

There’s a general store outside with snacks, drinks, and light food. The room itself was clean and better value than other places I’ve stayed. It works for a night or two if you won’t spend much time indoors, since there isn’t really a table to work at.

The location is really nice, and service was appreciable. The rooms were okay, with basics like a towel, toiletries, and a kettle provided. The bathroom could’ve been cleaner. It may not feel worth the price on its own, but compared with other hotels I’ve experienced in Chennai, it was fairly good.

The rooms were nicely furnished, the location was good, and breakfast was very nice with plenty of variety. But the staff could use training in dealing with customers. They didn’t tell us cash would be needed at checkout, then pressured us to pay that way because they said they had to do some “rotation.” Our flight was due, the cab was waiting, and it was raining, but they refused UPI and insisted on cash. They also wouldn’t make an omelet or anything else on request. Poor management.

The buffet breakfast was delicious, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Zaith Residency is also just a few minutes from the US Embassy, which made the location very convenient. My room was spacious, very clean, and hygienic, with a comfortable, relaxing feel. A good budget-friendly choice if you want a safe, hygienic stay.
