Treebo Trend Palm Tree

I booked a double bed, but they gave us a room with two single beds and told us to push them together and make do. Parking was just as bad: apparently there isn’t room even for four cars, and they insisted we park by the roadside bus stand on a narrow, filthy road. Don’t book this property. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Everything else was perfect for my overnight stay. Just make sure you confirm the location by phone before going, since it’s listed as Starlight Hotel Palm Tree but the actual name is Treebo Palm.

The room itself felt shabby, with patchy walls, a worn wooden cupboard and bed frame. There was no Wi-Fi, despite it being listed, and no hot water either. We complained about the hot water, but nothing was done. In a hill station, it’s hard to shower without it. We were a group of 15 in five rooms, and the stay was a very bad experience from the start. The restrooms smelled awful. When we reported it, management said room service wasn’t available and offered to spray air freshener. The smell came back after a few hours. Breakfast was also listed as complimentary. We told reception we planned to leave by 8 AM and asked for it before then, since tourists often start early. They said it would be ready at 8:30. We waited from 7:30 to 8:30 and got nothing, so all 15 of us had to eat at a nearby hotel. It left me wondering if skipping breakfast was their way of cutting costs. Read this before deciding whether to book.
