Trident, Chennai

The service at Trident Chennai has been consistently lovely, and my family and I will keep staying there when we visit. My parents have gone for years, and I joined them on a short trip this time. As someone who works in hospitality, I noticed how consistently attentive everyone was. Shohini and Bhoomi at Front Office, and Siva and Chengai from F&B, were especially charming, always smiling and ready to help. Plenty of other staff were just as good, but those four really stood out for their enthusiasm. Some reviews mention that the property is old and needs upgrades. If the building is your priority, you may want another place. For me, the experience and polite people hosting you are hard to match in Chennai. Thanks to the team, and kudos to management for appreciating the staff. It’s good to see the brand value its most important asset.

Aarushi, the head manager, came to check on me after I slipped in the bathtub and badly hurt myself on my first morning. I was shaken, but still went ahead with my scheduled plant visit. She asked what had happened and arranged a room change. When I got back, I found I’d been upgraded to a suite, a doctor’s appointment at the hospital had been arranged, and the team had taken care of everything. They didn’t charge me anything and sent two lovely hampers with so much kindness. This was my first stay with the Trident brand, on an official trip, and the care set a standard I hadn’t experienced before. Aarushi made sure I could rest and recover without worrying about even small inconveniences. I’ve stayed at many hotels, but never felt this much genuine concern and empathy. Words don’t cover how grateful I am to everyone at Trident Chennai for turning a frightening morning into one filled with support and kindness.

We had a lovely time at the evening gathering, thanks to the wonderful staff. The food was consistently good, though nothing really stood out or had a wow factor. The location is hard to beat, close to the airport and public transit, so getting around was easy.

The hotel is right beside Chennai airport, which makes it practical if you’re flying in. It seemed popular with international travelers and businesspeople. It’s clean, orderly, and professional, though not cheap. I felt the price was justified and would recommend it. I stayed several days for a personal visit to Chennai. Check-in was welcoming, and even the basic room I chose was clean, reasonably spacious, and had good amenities. Service was fantastic throughout, with personable, professional staff who paid close attention to the customer experience. The food was excellent and offered lots of variety.
