My first stay, at the end of February and start of March, left me disappointed with the rooms, restaurant, and facilities. When I returned for five days in the last week of March, the improvement surprised me. Mr Aswath Narayan was the new General Manager and was keen to help. I asked for a hair dryer and got it right away. My room and washroom were clean and well kept, the bed and sitting room were comfortable, and there was no damp smell. I'd previously written a bad review of the hotel and restaurant, so the change stood out. Breakfast was complimentary, with a good Indian spread. The reception and restaurant staff were friendly and professional, and the driver was skilled and good. He drove me to work all five days. It's a safe, pleasant neighbourhood, though a bit out of the way and often caught in traffic jams. A few things still need attention: Wi-Fi was very bad and asked me to re-enter the username and password every few minutes; there were too many mosquitoes; the towels looked pale yellow; and the shampoo came in very small sachets. Still, it was value for money, despite being a little outside the city.

The restaurant prices didn't feel justified by the food quality. Still, I'd stay here again if I travel to Chennai. The place is well maintained, the service and room service were great, and the pool was clean. When I reported a leaking washroom pipe, they fixed it within minutes.

The room they show during enquiries was much tidier than the rooms they actually gave their guests, nowhere near the promised quality. For the tariff, I expected better. The bed was stained, the towels were dirty with mud marks and footprints, and the sheets smelled awful. The toilet was stained and more unpleasant than a public toilet. It was an awful stay. Better maintained places nearby charge less.

The surroundings were so pleasant that I loved the hotel. The hospitality was great, prices reasonable, and the arrangements and maintenance were good. They provided everything we needed, which I hadn't experienced at hotels where I'd stayed before. It's some distance from the main city, but manageable. There aren't tourist attractions nearby, and you have to allow for time in traffic.
