The World Backwaters

The spacious lake-view room had one double bed and one single bed, and the sunrise view was mesmerizing. The restaurant is elegantly designed and serves excellent food. With scenic surroundings and a serene, refined feel, the resort made for a delightful stay. A great choice for a relaxing, premium experience.

This was our second stay at a WGH group hotel in the last six months, and the hospitality here was just as good. Mr. Sakthi helped and guided us throughout, which we really appreciated. The staff are supportive and energetic, and the grounds look neat and green. The pool is one of the best features. There’s also a bicycle ride, a small gym and a play area above the restaurant. Since there weren’t many guests, there was no buffet, but the à la carte menu was good and reasonably priced. The kids enjoyed fishing, and the restaurant arranged a one-hour speedboat ride. The rider covered almost 35 km, which made for a thrilling experience.

The meals were the highlight for us, easily the best food of all the hotels we stayed at in India. We also really liked the rooms and the grounds, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Being right by the coast meant lovely views while we ate. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We only had a day here, and it left us wishing we could extend the visit. Our return flights were already booked, so we couldn't. The setting was beautiful, with lovely views and a wonderful atmosphere. We'll come back next time.
