My favourite experience in India 😀 The traditional building sits in a gorgeous setting, with delicious local food and attentive service. Kerala felt completely serene here.

Vinod and the whole team have set the bar high. Their care made every part of our visit feel memorable, from friendly recommendations and special requests to the warm way they treated us. We'd happily return and recommend the place to anyone wanting a luxurious, stress-free getaway. The property is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and spotless. Our room was carefully arranged and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere clearly matter here. From the moment we arrived, the service was remarkable, with every detail taken care of. A perfect mix of beauty, comfort, and exceptional hospitality. We can't wait to visit again!

The gardens, full of butterflies, are beautiful, and the setting is spectacular. The food was lovely to look at and delicious, and the service was impeccable. We knew from other reviews and the website that Vismaya might be good, but it turned out to be wonderful. This was our first visit to Vismaya, though our fourth trip to India, and we've stayed in plenty of homestays and heritage properties. It's among the very best, possibly the best. From arrival until the sad goodbye, Vismaya held us spellbound. Thank you, Vinod and all the staff. We'll be back, that's a promise.

The host, Mr. Vinod, offers wonderful hospitality, with a quiet presence and fantastic cooking. Try his fresh clam pasta, made with clams collected right at the property, and the jackfruit coconut dessert. The place is stunning and comfortable, built in traditional Keralan style. It dates back 300 years and sits on the banks of Vembanad lake, where you can watch it glow at sunset. One of the most unique and enchanting stays we've had while travelling. A must-stay if you're heading to the backwaters.
