The verses displayed all around the property are a highlight. Their wording and meaning are delightful, and the owner takes pride in keeping everything available for guests. He also helped us use our free time on the first day by guiding us to five excellent temples in Chidambaram. For a family focused on pilgrimage, this is an excellent choice. It doesn't aim for posh amenities, but has practical things like a place to dry clothes, plus a kitchen with utensils and a fridge stocked with milk and coffee powder. That kitchen setup is unusual in Indian hotels.

I showed up in Chidambaram with no plans and needed just one night. I walked into this homestay without notice, and the gentleman there was incredibly welcoming and kind. Instead of just giving me a bed, he offered me the whole dorm. I'll always be grateful for that generosity and warm hospitality. Highly recommend if you want a genuinely welcoming place to stay.

The owner was especially helpful, advising us on the best temple times and arranging an auto at an affordable rate for nearby temples. The driver was a really good person too. We were about 300 mts from the temple. I arrived around 8.00 pm with my family and infant, and the owner arranged a two wheeler so I could buy food, then guided me to good food spots. They provide free milk, tea and coffee powder, gas, and vessels for making tea or coffee. Rooms were very good, toilets were neat and maintained, staff were good, and CCTV cameras helped us feel safe. It was a pleasant stay at Senthil Akam. I wonder why some people say it's not good. Would highly recommend.
