The Serai Chikmagalur

The evening coffee tour was informative, and there were plenty of activities to keep us engaged. Chef Anil Kumar made sure the food was top notch across all kinds of cuisines, while restaurant staff Toichu and Gufran made every meal a pleasant experience. With its thoughtful design, lovely location, welcoming staff, and delicious food, this was my most wonderful stay so far, and a great place to immerse yourself in nature.

A couple of practical things for management and future guests. A monkey came into our room, grabbed some food, and ran off. Nothing happened to us, but it could become dangerous quickly, especially with children around. As a plastic surgeon who treats animal bite injuries, I know the risks. Guests should be told at check-in to keep doors and windows closed. The cycling route is a must-do, but check the tire pressure first. I struggled uphill on the way back because my tire was low. The property is huge and stunning, with dense coffee plantations and majestic Banyan trees. Waking up there was one of our most peaceful experiences in a long time. We were welcomed with refreshing wet towels in a beautiful lobby, and service was excellent and prompt throughout. Asma showed us around, Abhishek Mishra took great care of us at lunch, and my wife said Hanny at Oma Spa did a fabulous job. When I noticed mosquitoes, staff promptly brought Odomos after I asked. The food was up to the mark, and breakfast before departure was just right for our long drive back to Bangalore.

We had a really awesome stay at this place in Bandipur, with friendly, responsive staff, including the cooks at the restaurant's live counter. We stayed in a Loghut, and the rooms were spacious and romantic, with a very trendy bathroom. They should have towels at the pool. The restaurant offers a wide range of Indian and continental dishes, though don't expect spicy food. Ask for it to be made spicy when ordering.

We stayed at this delightful resort while in the city for a wedding, and it was a real treat. The villas are thoughtfully designed and well maintained, the staff attentive, and the food tasty. The peppery spice in the local cuisine is worth trying. Wi-Fi worked well, but be prepared for brief power outages. There's a standby generator, though it takes a minute or more to kick in. The air conditioning works well, the pool table is good, and the coffee orientation and nature walks with Pradeep were a delight. Thanks to all the wonderful staff. We'll certainly come back sometime!
