The building has a lovely heritage feel and looks impressive, but the rooms and bathrooms seem poorly maintained. The restaurant food was only average, and the staff didn't seem well trained. Even basic things like tea and pakora weren't prepared properly.

We really enjoyed the meals, with plenty of choice and food that was both healthy and delicious. The hotel is also very close to Chittorgarh Fort. Inside, it has a lovely historic character, and our room and bathroom were spotless. Such a nice stay.

There wasn't a proper shelf or spot in the bathroom for soap and other things. The room itself was comfortable, though it smelled at first and the odor eased after a while. The bathroom had a much stronger, sharp smell that made it unpleasant.

The property itself is nice, but the hospitality was really poor. I ordered mild gravy and rice for my kids, and got very spicy curry with rice that was literally uncooked. When I pointed it out, the team didn't apologize and just said these things happen. Breakfast choices were extremely limited, and my tea came in a cracked cup. A complete disappointment.

The breakfast was meant to run from 7:45 -10:00, but it began after 8 and the buffet wasn't ready until 8:30. You could hear restaurant staff yelling in the kitchen. The staff were unprofessional, with no greeting or smile. The property is attractive but poorly kept: bathroom tiles looked like they hadn't been cleaned, and there were cobwebs in the corners. We used two buckets of cold water before any hot water came. They charge for mineral water after the complimentary 1lt in the room, yet seemed unconcerned about all that bathroom water being wasted.
