Hotel Colva Kinara

The staff were polite and helpful, but the poor systems and management made this a one-star stay for me. At ₹4000–₹6000 per night, the quality and service are completely unacceptable and nowhere near worth the price. The buffet was terrible throughout our four days. Whether we arrived at 8:00 or 9:30 AM, most items were gone, and even repeated requests didn’t get them refilled promptly. The rooms and restrooms looked nothing like the online photos. Washrooms were unhygienic and poorly maintained, with no bathroom wipers, hair dryer, or basic amenities. The lifts were dirty and poorly maintained as well. Only the ground floor looks good; beyond that, things go downhill fast. Checkout is early, at 10 AM, and the repeated calls about it felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. Honestly, I don’t understand how this is rated 3-star. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The room walls let corridor noise through clearly, even at midnight, and people were talking loudly near the lift at night. The internet was very poor. The ground floor looked good, and staff were quite helpful, but the room photos online didn’t match what we got. The washrooms felt like old lodge facilities, were poorly maintained, and smelled at night. The shower sprayed straight onto the toilet area, and there was no hair dryer. Breakfast was tasteless, and the pool was poorly maintained. Only two small water bottles were provided per day. Extra ones cost Rs. 40 each, something that should have been made clear at booking.

We stayed at Colva Kinara, South Goa, and expected much better hospitality. Breakfast was poor, and there was no fridge in the room. The electrical outlets sparked, which felt unsafe. Reception management was poor and responses were slow, while staff came across as arrogant and unprofessional. Overall, it felt more like an OYO-style budget stay than a properly managed hotel.

The staff really went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and the rooms were modern and spotless. We loved the delicious breakfast, too. The beach is very close. We had an amazing time and would like to come back. Worth recommending to friends and relatives.
