42 Green Pastures

The staff were warm and attentive, and the resort has a lovely mix of rustic character and modern comforts. Everywhere you look, there are green tea plantations. Mornings were especially peaceful, with mist on the hills, birdsong, and the sound of a nearby waterfall. A calm place to slow down and unwind, surrounded by nature.

We stayed one night in Ruby cottage on Sep 6th. The setting is lovely, surrounded by tea plantations and greenery, and it's peaceful for walks. The garden and lawn were tidy, the room had natural light and was close to the lawn, and the bathroom was clean. Buildings are nice and have amenities, though they aren't all put to good use. There's a play area with shuttle bats, a cricket bat, a basketball, and a children's area. The food tasted like home cooking, and the chef, some helpers, and gardener were friendly and helpful. There are quite a few things that need attention. The pillows, quilts, and bedspread seemed good quality but were very dirty, so laundry needs improvement. Although our room had a kitchen, it had no utensils or cutlery. A few clean ceramic plates and glasses, cutlery, and steel utensils would help. The only pan I found was a greasy nonstick one. The dental and bath kits could be better too. Our room was booked a week ahead for three of us, but only one dental kit was there at first; they brought two more when asked. The tea and sugar packets in the room looked old and unpleasant to handle. Finding the resort was difficult without network access or Google Maps. The manager helped us, but signs inside the property and along the main road would make it easier to find the rooms and the resort. Dinner tasted good, but the menu was very limited, with only two main items plus bread and jam. Please replace the plastic plates with ceramic ones, which are easier to clean and can last if handled carefully. It was already dark around 7 PM, and there were no lights on near our room. We had to use our phone torch to get back from the play area. There are outdoor lights by the rooms, but someone should switch them on and check. Ventilation also needs work. The dining area was opened only seconds before we entered and felt stuffy; opening it at least 30 minutes before serving food would help keep the air fresh. We were also missing information about breakfast, lighting, amenities, and nearby places. Please take this as constructive feedback. We'd be happy to visit again if these things are improved.

The gardens are beautifully kept, and our neat, comfortable room made for a peaceful stay among the tea estates. The staff were so polite and helpful, and made us feel at home. I really enjoyed my vacation at 42 Green Pastures.

Getting up the mountain by off-road drive led us to a beautiful 4BHK villa with incredible views. It feels natural and full of character. The service was especially good, from the food to all the little details.
