Serenity Manor

We had a memorable, pleasant stay at Serenity Manor, which is close to Sim’s park and convenient for shopping and sightseeing viewpoints. It felt like a home away from home, with spacious rooms, a flower garden, walking lawn, kids' play area, and safe parking. The caretaker was available at all times to make fresh multi-cuisine food, including live Dosa and Roti with side dishes prepared to guests' preferences. Hot and cold drinks were also available whenever guests wanted them. They gave us extra comforters for the cold peak season and arranged a campfire where we could enjoy the moon view. It worked well for family and friends.

The rooms were great, clean, and close to Sims park, but the hall, dining area, and garden are shared, even though we only had our own rooms. The ratings for the rooms, cleanliness, and bathroom would be 10/10 for me; service was 0/10. The caretaker was very rude, and I wouldn't go back to this homestay for service. The food tasted good, but they charge ₹175 per person for a limited menu such as four idlis and four dosas, which seems better suited to a large group. I said we only eat two or three dosas each, and at first he said the charge would be minimal. At checkout, he asked for ₹150 per person for what we'd eaten on the 27th: Person 1 had four idlis and one dosa, Person 2 had three idlis and one dosa, Person 3 had four idlis, Person 4 had three idlis and two dosas, the driver had three dosas, and the kid had one idli and three dosas. He said he wouldn't charge for the kid, but included him in the checkout amount, which I didn't make an issue of. In the end he said ₹100 per person, and we paid. It's not about the money, it's the attitude. We go for home food for its taste and quality, and charging more even when portions are small doesn't help. They could charge per item instead of saying ₹175 per person for unlimited food. I don't want to spoil their business, but the attitude really matters.

The calm atmosphere made Serenity Manor a lovely choice for a family break. The property is well cared for, and it lived up to its name. Satya and Dharamraj, the cook and helpers, were especially polite and helpful. Their delicious, homely food was made with care, and their kindness kept us comfortable throughout. We had a very pleasant stay and would happily return. It's family-friendly, welcoming, and highly recommended for a peaceful, comfortable visit.
