This is an average budget option, probably best for backpackers. The main advantage is its central location in town. The building is old and a bit worn down, and there isn’t much in the way of amenities, service, or hospitality. Meals aren’t included, and you need to order them in advance.

It was a calm place in a scenic area, and we got the chance to stay in a serene old heritage building from the British era. But the room was very hot at night in April, with no fans, and the beds were very old, weak, and uncomfortable. There were big cockroaches and huge spiders in the bathroom, under the beds, and on our beds. The doors were in poor condition, and maintenance wasn’t proper. Basic things hotels usually provide, like an electric kettle, soap, and drinking water, weren’t provided here. Please replace the beds and address the spiders and cockroaches.

I only booked a night and was given a back room. It felt like one of those haunted shooting locations from Bollywood movies. The property is at least 150 years old, so don’t expect luxury. Most of the guests were Christians from Europe or Kerala, and the place felt like an old age home. If you’re after peace and historical vibes, it could work. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it.

I loved getting the chance to stay in this old British-style heritage building. After booking a bad place where they looted me without even a night’s stay, I moved here straight away. The rooms and overall maintenance were awesome, and the food was tasty, especially the tea. If you like staying in an old British-style building, give this place a try.
